All our vehicles are 2011 or later models with low mileage and are maintained to impeccable standards both inside and out. All vehicles in our range are left hand drive, have turbo diesel engines, manual transmission, air conditioning, electric windows and alarm systems.
Who are France Motorhome Hire?
France Motorhome Hire.com is the primary website address for SARL Direction France, a privately owned and operated company based in the heart of France, midway between the famous tourist regions of the LoireValley and the Burgundy vineyards. English owners Phill and Hannah Spurge have lived and worked in France for twelve years, specialising in holidays for English speaking visitors.
All our hire vehicles are covered by membership of FRANCE PASSION, which offers free overnight stays at many unique and interesting properties throughout France – most commonly Vignerons, Chateaux, Farm sites and places of special interest.
Where we are and how to get to us
Our central France depot, 90 miles south of Paris is 20 minutes from the town of Montargis and 24kms from the nearest A19 motorway junction.
Customers can arrive by car (which we can store free of charge for the duration of their hire), or via public transport from Paris. Montargisis easily accessible from central Paris, The Eurostar Terminal, Orly and Charles de Gaulle Airports. We can arrange transfers from nearby Montargis for a small fee. Detailed instructions for public transport options and directions to our depot can be sent to clients once they have booked or on request.
There are currently no terms and conditions for travel during this period. If your rental is during these travel dates, new terms and conditions may apply. Please contact us before booking.
France Motorhome Hire Insurance Insurance cover
Vehicles are covered by fully comprehensive Insurance for the period of each rental. This insurance is valid in the majority of Western European countries. Travel to Eastern Europe is limited to the European Union countries. The Hirer must inform the Company at the time of booking if they plan to travel outside of France. Insurance cover is provided subject to acceptance of the driver(s) by the company.
Insurance Excess
There is an Insurance Excess (Deductable)for which the Hirer will be liable in the event of loss of or damage to the Vehicle or its equipment where no third party liability can be established. (see below for details of Insurance Excesses). The Company does not offer additional insurance to cover the excesses in the policy but such cover is available from an independent supplier. Note: Where damage to the vehicle is caused by collision with a third party vehicle, there must be clear identification of that vehicle and an Accident Report Form, signed by both parties, must be submitted to the Company. In addition to the Insurance Excess the Hirer may be liable to pay the Company an Accident Administration Fee of up to €100 plus TVA per incident.
The following losses are not insured and therefore the Hirer remains liable for the full cost of repair or replacement as a result of:
Damage to the interior of the vehicle
Damage to the underside of the vehicle
Damage due to neglect, misuse or unauthorised use of the vehicle
Damage due to freezing weather conditions (e.g. allowing the water system to freeze and cause burst pipes or fittings)
Damage to accessories
The loss of the vehicles keys or locking the keys in the Vehicle (this may include replacing the locks)
Damage to tyres, wheels and mirrors
and vehicle accessories
Use of incorrect fuel (the correct fuel to use is Diesel)
Recovery of or damage to the vehicle in the event that it has been driven on an unsealed surface or has become bogged down or stuck
Loss of or damage to the vehicles equipment such as outdoor furniture, electricity hook-up cable, water hose etc or loss of/damage to hired Bicycles or Satnav (GPS) devices
The insurance excess applies in respect of each and every incident or claim, not the hire period as a whole.
The insurance does not cover damage to or loss of personal belongings. We strongly recommend that the Hirer holdsalternative insurance to cover personal belongings.
Theft of the Vehicle
The vehicle is covered by insurance in the event of theft. However, the insurance is not valid if the Vehicle is stolen whilst the keys are inside it. In this instance, the Hirers liability is not limited to the amount of the Security Deposit. For your own protection, we advise you to lock the Vehicle whenever it is unattended and always remove the keys from the vehicle and keep them on your person when parked, even if only for a few minutes. This condition applies in all circumstances, including for example, whilst filling up with fuel. |
